Built in the 17th century and transformed by Louis XIV into the seat of the French court, it <strong>was the residence of kings Louis XIV, XV and XVI.<\/strong> From here France was governed until the Revolution of 1789. Its architecture and decoration reflect the splendor, politics and daily life of the monarchy.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What to see during the visit<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The visit includes a tour of the sumptuous <strong>King&#8217;s and Queen&#8217;s apartments<\/strong>, decorated with paintings by Charles Le Brun and period furniture.
